The traditional way to alleviate this situation is to disconnect the well from the pipeline and allow the underground liquid to flow freely into the portable storage tank until the gas well flows again. However, reducing the pressure in the storage tank is usually to directly discharge volatile organic compounds into the atmosphere, which will cause environmental permitting issues. Moreover, the liquid trapped in the storage tank also needs to be removed by trucks, which adds a heavy traffic burden, especially in sensitive areas, seriously affecting production costs.
